9. Boost your immune system

immune system booster, the botanist

Over the past few weeks, a general paranoia is taking over the world. The reason is reasonable as so far there is no treatment for the corona virus and it spreads fast.

I’m not sure that we can hide somewhere to avoid it. But, there is easy thing that we can do to reduce our chance to get it or, if we are unlucky enough, at least, to have a strong body to fight it. We hear often; we are what we eat… and this is true!

We need to revise how we eat on a daily basis.

Our body doesn’t need refine sugar, cheap oils or ingredients that we don’t have a clue about how it looks like (E319???).

Studies after studies prove that colourful fruits and veggies are good for us, that legumes are healthy and that we need little quantities of carbs and very very little of animal proteins. Some will say that we don’t even need them at all as they trigger our immune system more that they help it. If you want to learn more about it, feel free to read The China Study or see The Game Changer on Netflix.

So, to return to the subject, this salad is definitely not a cure but it can help to improve our immune system. YES, i love salad big time but there is one reason, I don’t do boring salad! They are full of taste, colourful and they fill my tummy even after a big workout.
